Founder & CEO

Lilit Sarkisyan is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in adult psychiatry with a deeply integrative and personalized approach. She works with individuals who are ready to understand their mental health more fully—beyond labels and quick fixes—and want care that addresses the root causes of distress, not just the symptoms.

Lilit has extensive experience in intensive and acute inpatient psychiatric care, where she worked closely with adults facing complex mood disorders, psychosis, severe anxiety, personality disorders, and co-occurring substance use. These high-acuity settings taught her the importance of clinical precision, crisis stabilization, and the power of a human-centered approach during moments of deep vulnerability. Her work also includes inpatient substance-use detox, where she supports adults navigating the earliest and often most difficult steps of recovery.

Lilit also worked in adolescent inpatient psychiatry, where she provided care to teens experiencing acute emotional and behavioral challenges. This work deepened her understanding of how early-life patterns and unresolved pain can evolve into adulthood struggles—shaping the empathetic and developmentally informed lens she brings to her adult clients today.

Lilit graduated as valedictorian of her Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing with honors, ranking at the top of her class. She also holds a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, which has strengthened her leadership, systems thinking, and commitment to patient safety. Since 2015, she has served as a clinical consultant for a major healthcare organization, focusing on identifying and preventing medical errors to enhance quality of care across complex medical systems.

Soulence Psychiatry & Wellness was born out of Lilit’s desire to practice psychiatry on her own terms—free from rigid models and rushed care. She envisioned a space where mental health treatment could be clear, collaborative, and deeply human. At Soulence, she combines evidence-based medication management with holistic and lifestyle-based interventions such as nutritional support, sleep optimization, and stress resilience strategies. Treatment is never one-size-fits-all. Each care plan is created in partnership with the patient, honoring the complexity of their lived experience.

Whether you’re looking to re-evaluate long-standing medications, explore new options, or finally feel like you’re being heard, Lilit’s goal is to help you reconnect with clarity, healing, and long-term wellness.

Let’s begin this journey together.

Ann Verma

Dr. Ann Verma, MD
Medical Director & Collaborating Psychiatrist

Dr. Ann completed medical school at the American University of the Caribbean and graduated in 2010. She went on to complete an internship in Adult Psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine and Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia in 2012. She then completed her Adult Psychiatry Residency at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2014. In 2017, she finished her Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. She is board-certified in both Adult Psychiatry (since 2017) and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (since 2022).

Dr. Ann brings a unique and holistic perspective to the practice of psychiatry, centered on what she describes as brain medicine. She considers herself a noninvasive neurosurgeon, focusing on uncovering the underlying causes of psychiatric symptoms rather than treating surface-level behaviors. Her comprehensive evaluations involve close collaboration with medical specialists and a detailed exploration of contributing factors such as chronic pain, sleep disorders, sexually transmitted infections, dental health, nutrition, hormonal imbalances, cultural influences, trauma, and the presence or absence of social support. She firmly believes that behavior and emotional imbalances stem from the brain’s response to dysfunction in other areas of the body.

Out of necessity, Dr. Ann began studying ancient medical systems when conventional Western approaches failed to help both herself and her patients. She has explored Hawaiian healing practices, Amish remedies, Ayurvedic medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is deeply familiar with the role of food, herbs, and diet in restoring balance to the brain, body, and mind.

Dr. Ann has personally applied these methods, using herself as a guinea pig to overcome obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. Her lived experience has fueled her passion to reform modern psychiatry and create safe, supportive spaces where people can explore alternative care and address the root causes of their mental health struggles. She is a strong advocate for noninvasive and natural approaches to healing.
